I’m terrible at this updating thing, but rest assured, things continue to happen. Paul has been doing some truly gorgeous animating, and Andrew’s music is sounding fantastic. I’m working with some impossibly talented people, evidently.
I’d like to remind you guys that if you liked my friend Daniel’s music, you should totally share it with some like-minded people and maybe check out his frightening band while you’re at it.
Thank you for your patience. More stuff soon, hopefully.
We had our first proper meeting today. It was all serious and super productive and stuff.
Oh, and we’ve got a fourth person working with us now, by the way! Paul Cross, a model Englishman and all around bad dude, will be making animations as his main job. Give him a warm welcome or whatever it is you people do.
just thought you guys could use an update on the matt situation, as we refer to it
One more thing: go listen to this. Hard to believe it’s in tracker format. I’m not sure whether that’s a good thing or not, but it’s a sweet song either way (and no, “sweet” doesn’t mean “terrifying” here like it usually does).
(1:13:06 AM) Matt Razza: Also, z-hat has nothing to do with actual hats.
(1:13:10 AM) Matt Razza: I’m sorry to tell you.
(1:13:13 AM) Nikita Leonidov: man
(1:13:18 AM) Nikita Leonidov: you ruin everything
(1:13:26 AM) Matt Razza: I know.
(1:13:28 AM) Matt Razza: I’m sorry.
(1:13:42 AM) Nikita Leonidov: >:\
So it turns out that the Jiggawatt site is blocked on school networks for pornographic content. I knew that a lot of the stuff up here was sexy, but not in that sense, exactly.
I guess we gotta’ take this to the courts now. Gotta’.
Because some of you are just too damn edgy to check our site and need tumblr to do it for you, I made an account. It’s importing our RSS feed or something dumb cutting-edge like that. It took me 5 minutes. Such is my contempt for you. If I’m doing it wrong, let me know.
Naturally I’m interested in this project because I’m always glad to see a really great-looking java game in development. The devs claim Starfarer is “a single-player, sandbox-style sci-fi roleplaying game – think Star Control/MOO2 meets Mech Warrior, with character advancement.” As a fan of both Star Control and Mechwarrior (never played MOO2, feel free to sue me don’t sue me) I totally like the sound of that.
Anyway, check out Fractal’s site to keep up with Starfarer’s development. They definitely do a better job of keeping people up to date than we do.
